ASHLYN ARCHER, a 2012 graduate of DePauw University, has completed her master's degree in education from University of Missouri St. Louis.

In addition to her master's degree, she has also completed her two-year corps commitment with Teach for America in St. Louis Public Schools, where she is currently a third grade teacher.

Archer is a graduate of Greencastle High School and is the daughter of Keith and Melissa Archer of Greencastle.


DAVID CHURCH of Greencastle recently graduated from Baylor University with a Master of Science in Education, Health, Human Performance and Recreation.

Baylor conferred degrees on more than 530 graduates during summer commencement exercises Aug. 16 in the Ferrell Center on the Baylor campus.

Baylor University is a private Christian university and a nationally ranked liberal arts institution, classified by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching as a research university with "high research activity."


ELIZABETH THORNBURGH has been named the August employee of the month at Hickory Creek at Sunset.

Thornburgh was identified in her nomination as a team player who is always smiling. She is willing to assist in any way she can.

"She has a high level of energy and helps to brighten the mood of her fellow co-workers and the resident," according to her nomination form.
