Cougar Queen Contestants

One of three North Putnam High School senior girls will be crowned 2014 fall homecoming queen at halftime of Friday's 7 p.m. football game against visiting rival Greencastle. Queen candidates are (from left) Ricki Evans, Samantha Flannelly and Olivia Zarate. NPHS students and staff are celebrating a busy 2014 Fall Homecoming Week. Activities began with dress-up days, a boys' volleyball class tournament, powder puff games and sheet-decorating contest between the classes. The week will culminate with a new event, the homecoming parade, beginning at 5 p.m. at Bainbridge Elementary School and winding its way through downtown Bainbridge.

North Putnam High School will crown its 2014 fall homecoming queen and her princess court at halftime of Friday's 7 p.m. football game as the Cougars take on Greencastle. The homecoming candidates will be introduced prior to the football game. Princess candidates include (from left) sophomores Tori Lowe, Desirae Poynter and Kaelynn Abner; juniors Taylor Nauert, Madisyn Smith and Raegan Bowling; and freshmen Emma Holsapple, Chloe LaPierre and Grace Lake.
