Bainbridge Improvement Society to host another Jonah Fish Fry

BAINBRIDGE -- The next semi-annual Jonah Fish Fry, sponsored by the Bainbridge Improvement Society (BIS), will be Friday, Oct. 3 at the Bainbridge Community Building on U.S. 36.

Again, door prizes from local merchants will be given throughout the evening. The event affords a great time for greeting and visiting with friends of the community during the dinner hour.

Serving will be from 4:30-8 p.m. Carryout meals will be available.

Cost is $8.50 for all-you-can-eat fish, two sides, dessert and a drink. A hot dog meal is $4.

All proceeds go to help support various community projects such as the youth sports leagues, the annual July 4 fireworks show at the east edge of town, the Bainbridge Fire Department, Clean-Up Day and a variety of educational classes.
