CMS volleyball wins County

CLOVERDALE--The Cloverdale seventh-grade volleyball team won the Putnam County Tourney Saturday.

The Clovers defeated North Putnam 25-16, 26-9. The Clovers defeated Greencastle in the championship game 25-13, 25-13.

Leading the service line for the Clovers were Makenzie Stoltz with 15 points, Morgan Goss with 14 points, Macie Jones with 13 points, Sammie Shrum with five points, Hayley Thomas and Kacey Shedron with four points each.

Sammie Shrum and Haley Thomas lead the net attack with six kills and Jones had three kills. Hayley Thomas had 18 assists. The Clovers are now 9-2 for the season.
