The eighth grade girls' volleyball team of Greencastle Middle School defeated Cloverdale Middle School in the County tournament on Saturday.

After defeating South Putnam in two games during the first round, Greencastle went on to play against Cloverdale for the title.

The championship games were close as both teams volleyed back and forth, often with a tie score. Greencastle overcame the competition winning the title after three games. The team is managed by Kelci Slack .
