Virginia Mae Baker, 94, Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014.

She was born in Rossville, Ga., on Dec. 29, 1919, the daughter of Oscar and Iva Lee Prather Stanfield.

She married John Baker, and he preceded her in death.

She had been a homemaker, had worked several places, and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Lisa Brantley, Teresa Blackburn and Michelle Waninger, all of Cleveland, Tenn., and Deborah Collins, Kokomo; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother Richard Stanfield, Calhoun , Tenn.; and sisters Joyce Barker, Riceville, Tenn., and Carolyn Sylvester, Cleveland, Tenn.

She was preceded by her parents, husband, daughter Gail Lyon, son John "Bud" Baker Jr., one great-grandson and nine brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 18 at Brick Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Jamie Lyon officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Bousley-Hays Funeral Home, Coatesville.
