Russellville sets Halloween Social for Saturday evening
RUSSELLVILLE -- The annual Russellville Community Center Halloween Social is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25.
The evening meal will be served beginning at 5 p.m.
The menu will consist of chili, coneys, hot dogs, sloppy joes, nachos and cheese, fish, tenderloins, potato chips, brownies and drinks.
Registration for the masquerade is 5:30-6:45 p.m.
Categories for the costume prizes are best character, best Halloween character, animal, prettiest, ugliest, best couple or group, most original and miscellaneous.
There will be 10 winners per category, with one $50 grand prize winner chosen and a $25 reserve prize winner.
Winners will be announced at 7 p.m.
This year, the carnival will start at 7 p.m. with several games, including Plinko, Wheel of Fortune, swamp pond, duck pond, football toss, toilet paper toss, ring toss, dice toss, tattoos and a fortune teller.
There also will be an old country store to browse.
Door prizes will be awarded every hour and persons do not have to be present to win.
New this year will be the showing of a family friendly Halloween movie.
The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
