Down She Goes

The old Miller School smokestack was demolished Monday afternoon, with a small ring of the once towering icon all that remained for a few, fleeting moments before that too, was jackhammered into a pile of rubble. The column was taken down as part of a renovation project that will see the school turned into 30 senior living housing units. The building was last used as an educational facility in 2010, when it served as the school corporation's offices. (Photo by KYLE HOLLINGER)

  • Kind of sad. My office was in Miller when it closed. Even if it was very cold in the winter I stilled loved it. I hope they have an open house when they are done so I can see what my office looks like. Who knows, maybe I will get an apartment there!!
