Banner Graphic: What's different about being a senior this year?

Chris Migliano: All the other years you have people that you are always looking up to. When you become a senior it's the other way around. You don't really expect that now all of a sudden you have freshmen, sophomores and juniors even looking for you to know what to do. They are looking for answers and leadership. That's completely new.

Banner Graphic: What's your favorite thing about football?

CM: It's definitely the family aspect. All my teammate and I are like brothers. We hang out all the time doing stuff together. My best friend's Lucas (Lorian) and we pretty much live with each other. We plan on going to college with each other. You don't get this with any other sports. It's such a tight bond.

BG: What can sports teach you about life?

CM: It can teach you to handle adversity. This year we've had a ton of it with players getting injured, and other stuff going wrong. Sports can help handle adversity and teach you not to give up. I don't know what might happen but you'll have to handle things and tackle them. Right?

BG: Who inspires you in your life to do well?

CM: I'd say all my brothers really are my big inspirations. They all played sports throughout their lives. They have their accomplishments that they did. I guess in a selfish way I want to be better than them so I kind of use them to push me and they help me out all the time.

BG: What was your favorite memory on the South Putnam team?

CM: Last year, we were going to regionals and we had a pep session with the whole school. We were in the locker room ready to come out and they played "Hell's Bells" which is our song. It was just a great moment having the whole school cheering us on.

BG: What are your goals after high school?

CM: I plan on going to college first. I'm looking at Wabash or Marian. Then after that I plan on joining the military. After the military I want to become a coach and a teacher. All my life my coaches have been big role models for me. They've helped me out and not just in sports but whenever I've had issues, they've been there for me. I respect all of them and that's something that I want to do. When an athlete comes up to me I want to be there for them, not just on the field or mat but whatever he needs to help.
