Movin' on Up

Taking the oath of office from Greencastle Mayor Sue Murray Tuesday morning, Greencastle firefighter Brock Beebe officially takes on the role of lieutenant for the department. Beebe has been with the department full time for the past 16 months, following two years as a reserve. Beebe said he looks forward to taking on his new leadership role on his shift alongside Capt. Brian Poole, as well as drawing on the nearly 40 years of combined experience of Engineer Jeff Elkins and firefighter Bob Campbell. The new officer is also anticipating the challenge his role represents and "the opportunity to better myself as a firefighter and a leader and to further myself as an asset to the community and the department and to inspire others that I work with to hopefully do the same."
