Christmas Comes Early

Sunday, November 9, 2014
Christmas is still more than two months away, but it's not too early for Suzanne Tzouanakis, Roseanne Sanders and their fellow members of the St. Paul's Catholic Church Ladies Guild to get ready to serve those in need. The ladies recently gathered to sort items they are donating to the Christmas House Store in Terre Haute. Last year, the ministry served 3,149 people in 723 families during the Christmas season by providing a household item, personal hygiene products and clothing for each member of the family as well as a toy for each child. All items are new and provided at no cost. St. Paul's has 674 articles of clothing and lots of toys to deliver to Terre Haute. At this point, there are 49 children and 38 adults from Putnam County planning to go to the Christmas Store this year. (photo by JARED JERNAGAN)
