The Cloverdale Lions Club recently presented the 19th annual Cloverdale Civic Award to Donna Fidler.

The nominations for this award come from the general public. More than sixty people were in attendance to celebrate the presentation.

Fidler was presented this award as a thank you for the numerous volunteer hours she has devoted to the betterment of the Cloverdale community.

She is currently President of the Cloverdale Community School Board of Trustees and also serves on her church's board. She was a long term member of the Cloverdale Alumni Board and she has also served on the Rockwell Board.

Fidler's largest community time commitments have been to her church and to the Putnam County 4-H Fair. She is a past Fair Board member, and a longtime superintendent of the goat barn. She was a very important part of getting the new goat barn built.

Mrs. Fidler joins previous Civic Award recipients Dewey Garrett, Todd Lewis, Kerry Shepherd, Joyce Johnson, Mona Smith, Bob Hostetter, Don Walton, Jeff Rich, Rosemary (Davis) Berry, Jack Davis, Dr. Keith Ernst, Eric Hayman, Vera Hughes, Adeline Knoy, Bill Henson, Judy Whitaker, Rod Garrett, Norv Gottula and Wayne Sutherlin.

She was presented a plaque by members of the Cloverdale Community Civic Award Committee, and her name has been inscribed on a plaque that is displayed in the Cloverdale Town Hall.
