Painting the Town

Youngsters could paint or be painted on Saturday during the Ridpath Primary School Bazaar in Greencastle. Seven-year-old Alicia Hernandez (above), a Greencastle Youth Cheer member, has a butterfly painted on her face by Katie Downing as part of a Youth Cheer fundraiser at the bazaar. Meanwhile, as mothers browse booths all around the school, youngsters take part in a "Cookies and Canvas" art project conducted by Dessa Frank (right, below), the art teacher at Tzouanakis Intermediate School. Frank helps Tyler Walls, 7, visiting from Parke County with mother Tammy (seated in the background), paint his canvas blue to start the project.
