I-70 semi-truck accident

A Ryder semi-truck was involved in an an accident near the 44-mile marker on the westbound lane of I-170 Sunday night, according to Cloverdale Township Volunteer Fire Department (CTVFD) Chief Kerry Shepherd.

A fuel spill was reported as part of the accident.

CTVFD firefighters responded to the scene among several motor vehicle accident dispatches due to slick road conditions from recent snowfall.

Firefighters were busy for more than 2-hours as they attempted to respond to the multiple accidents Sunday night.

This accident was one of a slew of vehicles sliding off roadways under the slippery conditions of the first snow of the year.

  • I'm sure slick conditions were only PARTLY to blame for this slide off. I notice many semi drivers believe that a "full load" means they won't slide on ice or snow.

    I hope that isn't the case here.
