Realtors bingo event a success

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank everyone that attended our bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 15.

We had a fantastic turnout, with a record 180 players in attendance, and were able to give away cash bingo prizes of over $,1200, and over $3,000 in pull tab winnings.

The biggest winner of the night, however, was the Putnam County Board of Realtor Scholarship Fund, which will benefit from the proceeds of the event, growing our endowment to provide for future scholarships.

In May the board will be awarding $2,000 in scholarships to four Putnam County high school seniors. These scholarship awards (four at $500) are made possible through our endowment with the Putnam County Community Foundation.

I would especially like to thank all that helped to sponsor this year's event: Abstract and Title, American Realty LLC, At Home Realty LLC, Caliber Home Loans, Carpenter Realtors, Coldwell Banker Putnam Real Estate Center, Collins Evans Real Estate, Daniel Builder, Down Home Real Estate and Auction, Endeavor Communication, Farm Credit of Mid America, First National Bank, Mike Goss/Attorney, Humphrey's Outdoor Power, Janet Jayne/Advocare, JTN Services, Jack Mace, Royal Title Service, F.C. Tucker Schneider Realty, Chris and Michelle Skillern, University Lending and Wood Builder Inc.

This event would not be possible without the hard work and dedication of our volunteers -- Teresa Adams, Tyler Cox, Max Fislar, James Knoebel, Angie Long, Paul Nauman, Jeff Rich, George Schneider, Suzy Schneider, Chris Skillern, Michelle Skillern and Cecil VanArsdale.

We also appreciate those members that came out to play, and everyone that stayed after the event to help us clean up.

Thank you for making these scholarships to Putnam County high school seniors possible.

Any Putnam County high school senior wanting to apply for a scholarship should contact the Putnam County Community Foundation.
