Travel series at PCPL to begin Dec. 3

The Putnam County Public Library announces the first Travel Series program of the year is scheduled for noon Wednesday, Dec 3.

Holly Pritchett will give a photo presentation of her summer in Tarsus, Turkey. She will discuss the town's history, the excavation she participated in and some of the other amazing places she visited.

Pritchett has just returned from Greece where she was continuing her research.

The program is a noon Brown Bag talk so persons may feel free to bring a lunch. Drinks and cookies will be provided. The program is free and open to the public.

Pritchett received her BA (Ancient Civilizations/Ancient Greek, 2007), a MA (Ancient Greek, 2009) from Indiana University, and a MA (Classical Archaeology, 2011) from Bryn Mawr College, Pa.

She is currently a Ph.D candidate at Bryn Mawr in the process of writing her dissertation which examines stages of childhood development depicted on Athenian pottery.
