Jo Anne Huber, 83, of Rockville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2014.

She was born April 18, 1931 in Indianapolis to the late Charles and Sarah Garwood Park.

She graduated from Greencastle High School in 1949.

She married John M. "Jack" Huber in 1950, starting their family on the west side of Indianapolis.

While her children were growing she was active with Holy Trinity Catholic Church and Indianapolis Public School 90. Her home on Centennial Street was a hub of activity for the entire neighborhood.

Having a great love of nature, she and Jack bought property on Raccoon Lake. Spurred on by Unigov, she moved her family to Parke County full time in 1976. She enjoyed ceramic making, quilting and gardening.

She became active in politics and volunteered for several Democratic activities.

She retired from Greenmark Insurance in Greencastle, where she enjoyed working with people and took tremendous pride with her clients.

Her husband of 64 years, Jack Huber, preceded her in death by 29 days.

Survivors include two sons, John R. (Linda) Huber and Kevin M. Huber, both of Indianapolis; three daughters, Susan (Rick) Beard of Indianapolis, Kim Huber and Mindy (Alex) Cameron, both of Newport Beach, Calif.; grandchildren Tyler (Allison) Smith, Jake Huber, Ross and Christopher Cameron; two great-grandsons; one sister, Phyllis "Pete" Jones; and long-time family friends, especially Bobby, Judy and Denny Morrison and the late Faye Terbot.

Memorial services will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 in Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St., Rockville with Farther Varghese Maliakkal officiating. Visitation is set for 5-6 p.m. Thursday.
