North Putnam girls win a nail-biter

Wednesday, December 3, 2014

North Putnam's girls' basketball team has been steadily improving and it finally saw proof on the scoreboard as the Cougars win their first game of the year 37-34.

Cougar coach Jim Spencer believed that it was a steady show of improvement that led to the team's victory.

"We had a better fourth than we have had for most of the year," Spencer said. "We've struggled with making plays and today we were able to string some plays together."

  • It would be nice to at least see scores from junior varsity games. Boys and girls both!! They put in lots of hours at practice and their games are usually immediately preceding the varsity games, so it shouldn't be too difficult to at least get the scores reported. Thanks!
