Greencastle Civic League will wrap your holiday gifts

Thursday, December 4, 2014

The holiday season can be exhausting, so the Greencastle Civic League can help by wrapping your gifts for you.

Persons may bring their gifts to 2 W. Washington St. (the corner of Indiana Street), and members of the Greencastle Civic League will box, wrap and decorate them.

The contents of the gifts will be labeled and packed for easy transportation.

On Sunday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 21 gift-wrapping services will be available from 1-5 p.m. for the price of $2-$5 per gift. Sample wrappings of each price will be displayed at the event.

The Greencastle Civic League has been involved in the community for more than 30 years, and has worked to develop two parks -- Emerald Palace in 2001 and most recently, the Bob York Splash Park which opened this past August.

The Civic League also has hosted the annual summer concert series, Parkfest, for more than 20 years and has helped organize Clean City Month in the spring with general clean-up of local neighborhoods and parks along with sprucing up several locations with flower and tree plantings.

Patronizing the Civic League winter fundraiser will help support its efforts to continue serving the local community.
