The American Angus Association recently added three new junior members from Putnam County.

ETHAN HARCOURT and KOLBY HARCOURT, both of Fillmore, and JACKSON DEAN HAYMAN, of Cloverdale, have all been named junior members of the national organization headquartered in St. Joseph, Mo.

Junior members of the association are eligible to register cattle in the American Angus Association, participate in programs conducted by the National Junior Angus Association and take part in association-sponsored shows and other national and regional events.

The American Angus Association is the largest beef breed association in the world, with nearly 24,000 active adult and junior members.

MARISSA PARENT from Bainbridge was named to the Milwaukee School of Engineering dean's list for the fall 2014 quarter. Parent is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in management information systems.

Undergraduate students who have earned at least 30 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher (out of 4.0) are on the Dean's List. Students who have maintained a 3.70 or higher receive "high honors."

Undergraduate students on the Honors List have earned a GPA of at least 3.20 (out of 4.0) for this quarter and are not on the Dean's List.

ROCHELLE "ROC" CORDRAY, formerly of Greencastle, has completed the nutrition and food service professional program at the University of North Dakota. In March, she will complete her bachelor's program as a dietician.

Roc is the director of dining services at Golden Living Center in Wakefield, Kan. She works closely with the residents and staff at GLC to ensure that all aspects of diet are covered on a daily basis.

She is also responsible for the Harvest Festival each year planning, single-handedly preparing and feeding 225 residents and their families. She has won numerous awards for cooking, theme meals and resident favorite meals, resident birthday parties and holds the distinction of "Best Food in the District."

She is also a member of the Retention and Recruitment Team, IDT Team, Peak Committee, and leads the Weight Committee.

Roc resides in Wakefield with her husband Sgt. Kevin Cordray, daughter Chelsi,14, and daughter Kylie, 25, of Wichita.
