County Jail

One person was booked into the Putnam County Jail on Thursday.

*At 9:59 p.m., Taylor Jeanne Burk, 19, Clinton, was arrested on a probation violation.

She was arrested at an Avenue F residence by Greencastle Police Sgt. Charles Inman on a Putnam County warrant for battery resulting in bodily injury.

City Police

One other recent warrant arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

-- At 2:12 a.m. Friday, Officer Matt Huffman went to an East Walnut Street residence to serve a Putnam County warrant on Jason Grimes, 30, Greencastle.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Grimes was arrested on a warrant for failure to stop after an accident resulting in property damage.

Sheriff's Dept.

* At 8:48 p.m. on Thursday, Madison J. Trout, 17, Greencastle, was driving on County Road 125 West near County Road 25 South.

Trout advised Deputy Tyler Turner that her 1998 Chrysler Cirrus ran off the road while she was distracted, which resulted in her striking a county road sign for the weight limit of the road and bridge.

Damage was estimated at less than $1,000.
