CARL ELMORE, an eighth-grade student at South Putnam Middle School, recently pulled off a pair of incredible wins in Fort Worth, Texas.
Elmore competed in several events at the 2014 American Rabbit Breeders Association Convention in November. This is the biggest competition at the end of the year, with more than 1,500 rabbits exhibited. More than 200 kids competed in the knowledge events.
Carl placed first out of 121 kids in the rabbit judging competition. He was also second runner-up in the Duke title after a 200-question test, identifying 20 different breeds, resume and interview.
The Netherland Dwarf Chinchilla he raised won best opposite variety and best junior.
