Chamber's 2015 annual dinner set for Jan. 24

The Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce has scheduled its 2015 annual dinner for Saturday, Jan. 24 at the DePauw University Indoor Tennis and Track Facility.

The evening will begin with a social hour, which is sponsored by Duke Energy, from 6-7:30 p.m.

Drinks, appetizers and bidding on silent auction items will take place during the social hour. The silent auction is sponsored by Ivy Tech Community College.

Deejay Jim "Figgy" Hardwick, who is being sponsored by Hendricks Power Cooperative and Parke County REMC, will be providing musical entertainment. Meanwhile, couples and groups can also have their professional photos taken by Becki Arnold of Becki Arnold Photography.

The buffet dinner, which is sponsored by North Salem State Bank, will begin at 7:30 p.m. The meal is being prepared by Bon Appetit at DePauw University.

Following the dinner, Bret Hurley, the outgoing 2014 Chamber president, will speak as well as introduce the new 2015 incoming Chamber president, who will discuss the Chamber's upcoming year.

Also scheduled is the announcement of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Director of the Year, and of course, the announcement of the 2014 Putnam County Citizen of the Year Award.

This year's event will conclude with the Putnam County Community Foundation announcing the winners of the Envision 2016: Moving Putnam County Forward grants totaling $200,000.

"The Chamber greatly appreciates the support of these businesses," Chamber Executive Director Tammy Johnson said. "Their generosity makes this evening possible."

Tickets for the dinner are $30 per person or $240 for a table of eight.

Table sponsors are also being sought for the event at a cost of $35 per table. Anyone sponsoring a table will get an on-table acknowledgment and a special mention in the event program. You do not have to attend the dinner to be a table sponsor.

The Chamber is also still accepting silent auction donations, asking that the items be valued at $75 or more. Your business will get special signage and acknowledgment for donating to the silent auction.

Reservations, table sponsorships and auction donations will be accepted through Friday, Jan. 16.
