Johnny Direck 'JC' Casida

Johnny Direck "JC" Casida, 47, of Shreveport, La., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 at his residence.

He was born in Orlando, Fla., on March 27, 1967, the son of Ralph and Juanita Casida. He was the oldest of three sons of a military family and was raised in Navarre, Fla., and Holly, Fla., and Alexandria, La.

He attended elementary school in Holly and Alexandria and high school in Alexandria.

Direck "JC" had worked in the food service and construction industries in and around Shreveport and loved to work with his hands. He especially liked carpentry, painting and roofing. He was always ready to help anyone in need.

He will be greatly missed by special friend and mentor Ray Mayeaux and his many friends and cousins in Louisiana, especially Aunt Patsy and Uncle Mike.

He is survived by parents Ralph and Juanita Fay Casida of Cloverdale, brothers Glen R. Casida II of Lebanon and Robert F. Casida of Cloverdale and many cousins, aunts and uncles in Louisiana, Florida and Indiana.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Glen R. and Mary A. Casida and maternal grandparents Robert Frank and Anna Taylor.

Cremation was handled by Aulds Funeral Home and Crematory of Shreveport. A private family memorial is planned at a later date.
