Carl E. Setty

Carl E. Setty, 73, of Cloverdale, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Hendricks Regional Health.

Carl was born Dec. 19, 1941, the son of the late Richard and Jane (Frazer) Setty.

He graduated from Hymera High School in 1960.

Carl was a retired iron worker with Iron Worker Local 22. Following retirement he worked as a realtor and eventually owned his own floral shop in Cloverdale.

Carl married Joyce Diane Risinger on Oct. 30, 1960, and she preceded him in death Feb. 13, 1988.

Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, gambling, going to casinos, bargain shopping, attending auctions and playing euchre. His greatest joy was making people laugh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane; parents; brother Eugene Setty and brother-in-law,Larry Hutchens.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Gina Larie Hays (Grant) of Fishers; his son, Jay Michael Setty of Indianapolis; brother John Setty (Pat) of Reelsville; grandchildren Kody Graves, Kyle Graves, Brittany Hays and Brent Hays; nieces and nephews Myra Ross, Stephanie Weir, Kim Hall, Tracy Hutchens, Monica Hutchens, Jennie Emmert, Drew Morgan and Lacie Klussman; great niece and nephews Emily Bowman, Tyler Williams, Jacob Williams and Alex Wei, as well as extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at Lawson-Miller Chapel, Brazil.

Visitation will be Monday at 1 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at K of P Cemetery in Hymera at a later date.

Per his wishes cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital, 8402 Harcourt Rd., Suite 210, Indianapolis, IN 46260, or Bob Gregory's Coats for Kids.
