John Larry Paullus

John Larry Paullus, 78, of Brazil, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Jan. 5, 2015 at his home.

He was born March 10, 1936 in Clay County, the son of John and Agnes Dierdorff Paullus.

Larry worked at Putnam Beverage as a delivery driver and also last worked for Lear Corp. in Greencastle.

He was married to Shirley Frazier Paullus and together they had two children. She passed away in 2006. Later in 2008, he married Janet Todd Paullus. Janet passed away in 2012.

In years past, Larry enjoyed fishing and being at their farm property. He enjoyed playing cards and was an IU fan.

Survivors include his children, Teresa Trout and husband Troy of Greencastle and son Michael A. Paullus of Brazil; grandchildren Josie Fasoldt and husband Isaiah, Lydia Trout and Madison Trout, Nicolas Paullus and Daniel Drengacs; great-granddaughter Phoebe Fasoldt; brothers Pete Paullus and wife Lynn and Tim Paullus and wife Regina; sisters Karen Newman and husband Jim, Mary Grace Hunt, Peggy Marlow and husband Jim, Clara West and husband Rick, Elissa Armstrong and husband Tom and Rose Harden and husband Ron; many nieces, nephews and extended family, including aunts Mary Schepper and Patsy Dierdorff.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; wife Shirley Paullus and second wife Janet Paullus; brother Theodore Paullus; infant sister Jennifer Louise, and sister Cecilia Testy.

Services will be conducted at noon Saturday, Jan. 10 at The Store House, 605 Westlane Rd., Greencastle, with Pastor Troy Trout officiating.

Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, also at the church.

Burial will be private at Croy's Creek Cemetery.
