Ronald Ray Phillips, 79, of Greencastle, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1935 in Putnam County to Raymond Arnold Phillips and Clara Elsie Flint Phillips.

Ron retired from the DePauw University Maintenance Department with 16 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda S. Phillips on Nov. 30, 2013; four brothers, Reese E. Phillips, Edwin R. Phillips, Robert O. Phillips, and Kenneth K. Phillips; and two sisters, Martha M. Seabolt and Doris L. Farris.

Surviving are his children, Ronda Phillips of Greencastle, Steve Phillips of Greencastle and Brian Phillips and wife Terri of Greencastle, Roberta Craig Boswell and husband Ron of West Terre Haute, and Debra Craig Brown and husband Randy of Indianapolis; one brother, Donald Phillips of Apache Junction, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, Danny Phillips, Alisha Phillips, Brad Phillips and wife Holly, Kelly Hostetter and husband Brian, Leslie Phillips, Kory Reagan and wife Amanda, Kinn Reagan, Brittney Wood and husband Brett, Taylor Wood, and Katie Gorham; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Chaplain Ron Turner officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Brick Chapel Cemetery.
