Christopher Michael 'Mike' Souders

Christopher Michael "Mike" Souders, 37, of Cumberland, Md., and formerly of Cloverdale, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015.

He was born on May 7, 1977 in Brazil to Terry Lee Souders and Lisa Dawn Pittman Souders.

Mike honorably served his country in the US Army Infantry including an 11-month tour in Iraq.

Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James A. Souders and Doris Souders; his stepfather, Clay Warren; and his great-grandmother Jane Fislar.

He is survived by his wife, Roda M. Lagang-Souders; his parents, Lisa Sigwald and husband Herbert and Terry Souders and wife Michelle; his children, Damian Michael Souders, Zaria Rose Souders, Chandler Lee Souders, Austin Kendrick Souders, Saphyra Truth Lagang-Souders and Romi Arturo Lagang-Souders; siblings Shelli Gillespie and husband Steve, Dawn Marie Aiken Loesch and husband Rick, Tina Louise Aiken, James Aiken, Ron Warren, Don Warren and wife Chase, Cindy Sperback and husband Jay and Cliff Warren; one granddaughter, Serenity Arabella Sheets; and his maternal grandparents, Bonnie Hardwick and husband Dave and Larry Pittman; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday Jan. 23 at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor John Cloe officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from noon until time of services at the funeral home.
