4-H Horse and Pony Club auction, chili supper scheduled for Feb. 14

Thursday, January 29, 2015

The Putnam County 4-H Horse and Pony Club will have its annual auction on Saturday, Feb. 14 at the Putnam County Fairgrounds Community Building.

Chili will be served at 4:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 5. Proceeds from the auction go to help the club raise funds for the coming year. The funds go toward many activities which enhance the 4-H experience, such as trips and awards, to name a few.

This year there has been a generous amount of items donated. The club would like to reach out to the entire community, even to those who may not own a horse or be involved in horse related activities, and invite you to attend. There will definitely be something for everyone. Items that have been donated include event, museum, and zoo tickets; restaurant gift cards; party packages; spa treatments such as manicures and massage; gift baskets; art and desserts, as well as horse related items.

Some of the donors are Auto Zone, Bagger Dave's, Beauty Brands, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, Carmike Cinemas, Cheesecake Factory, Chicago Pizza, Children's Museum of Terre Haute, Indianapolis Colts, Comedy Sportz, Cowpokes, Cracker Barrel, Crew Carwash. Extreme Tanning, Family Video, Golden Corral, Half Price Books, Hot Skates, Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, Indiana Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Children's Museum, Indianapolis Zoo, Monical's Pizza, Monster Mini Golf, O'Reilly's, Pizza Hut, Squire Boone Caverns, Super Wash, Target, Texas Roadhouse, The Coachman, UPaint Pottery, Valley Vet Supply, TEEM, Myers' Market, Wrangler, Tim Cox Paintings, Wonderlab of Bloomington, and many more.
