Alton Elwood Browning

Alton Elwood Browning, 77, of Greencastle, previously of Lebanon, passed away on Monday, Feb. 2, 2015 at IU Health in Bloomington.

He was born in Lebanon on Nov. 11, 1937 to proud parents William Orville Browning and Mabel Lonetta (Neal) Browning.

Alton was raised in Jamestown.

He spent most of his life working as a sheet metal fabricator for L.A.U. in Lebanon.

Alton lived his later years at Hickory Creek at Sunset healthcare facility in Greencastle, where he was well liked and will be sadly missed by everyone who came to know him.

He is survived by his sister, Peggy Pipes of Continental, Ohio; children Timothy Browning of Hallandale, Fla., Cathena Richardson of Greencastle and Daniel Browning of Poland; as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orville and Mabel Browning, son William Browning, grandson Marc Browning and great-grandson Karson Browning.

A graveside memorial service will be at a later date.
