Bass King in Literature

Friday, February 6, 2015
Author Rick Bass responds to audience questions in Watson Forum at DePauw University on Tuesday night. Bass has left the remote Yaak Valley in Montana to teach at the university for the spring semester. Bass moved to the remote valley in the late 1980s, beginning a wide series of both fiction and non-fiction work that heavily draws upon wild environments. While penning his works from the northwestern corner of Montana, Bass remains an outspoken voice for conservation efforts in the West. (Photo by KYLE HOLLINGER)
