ˇBienvenido!

Friday, February 27, 2015
A sign popped up Friday simply stating "We will be open at 5 p.m. today" in front of the new Don Julio restaurant at 11 W. Franklin St. on the north side of courthouse square in Greencastle. More than three-and-a-half years after the closure of Los Martinez restaurant and following months of renovation and public speculation, Mexican food will again be available on the north side of the square. A new stone facade and the addition of a bar with a separate entrance , complete with a margarita machine, are two of the most noticeable changes from the exterior. Inside is a completely renovated, brightly painted restaurant serving up typical Mexican fare from fajitas to burritos and tacos. Don Julio Mexican Food is co-owned by the proprietors of Casa Grande on the east side of Greencastle and is open seven days a week.
