DPU women to host Hanover in NCAA tournament

DePauw has earned an at-large berth into the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship and the Tigers will host Hanover on Friday, March 6, at 7 p.m.

Tickets will cost $6 for adults and $3 for children.

The Tigers are 24-2 on the season and won the North Coast Athletic Conference regular season title.

Hanover (19-8) earned automatic qualification into the 64-team tournament after defeating Transylvania, 106-98, in the Heartland Conference Athletic Conference tournament championship game.

Friday's other first-round game in Greencastle features John Carroll and Maryville (Tenn.) at 5 p.m.

DePauw is appearing in its 12th straight NCAA postseason and 16th in the last 20 years, including national titles in 2007 and 2013 as well as a third-place showing in 2002 and additional quarterfinal appearances in 2006, 2008 and 2014.
