DePauw shot 51 percent from the floor and equaled a school record with 13 three-pointers as the Tigers topped Maryville (Tenn.), 76-53, in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championship at Neal Fieldhouse.

With the win, DePauw advanced to the NCAA round of 16 for the third straight year and sixth time in the last 10 seasons. The Tigers will face Calvin after the Knights topped, Wisconsin-Oshkosh, 91-72.

DePauw was hot from the start, making its first three field goals, and jumped out to a 7-2 lead. The last of those baskets came from Savannah Trees and broke the DePauw career scoring record of 1,447 points held by Amy Argetsinger (2001-05).

After the Tigers pushed the margin briefly to double digits, the Scots stayed within single digits the rest of the half as DePauw took a 31-24 lead to the break.

DePauw opened the second half with a 7-0 run to extend the lead to double digits and it stayed there the rest of the game. Maryville was within 12, but Emma Ondik responded with a three that started a 10-2 stretch and pushed the lead to 20 with 11:38 left.

The Tigers dominated play in the second half, shooting 58.3 percent from the field and hitting 9-of-12 from behond the arc.

"It's fun to play on a day where everything is kind of clicking offensively," DePauw head coach Kris Huffman said.

"Everyone was giving us really good passes, feeding the ball to us in perfect spots to shoot in rhythm," Ondik added.

"The game plan was to come out, sit down and defend," Maryville head coach Darrin Travillian said.

"Make them make tough shots and make them make contested shots. What changed was they started making threes early and never relented."

Ondik led the Tigers with 18 points on six three-pointers, while Lauren Abendroth scored 17 with five-of-seven shooting from deep. Hannah Douglas followed with 16 and Trees added 12. Ondik led the way with five assists and Trees snagged seven rebounds.

Alex Bond paced Maryville with 13 point and Lauren Trent followed with 12. Bond and Rachel Hawn each grabbed four rebounds and Joanna Youn dished out three assists.

DePauw held a 29-23 advantage on the boards and committed just 11 turnovers to Maryville's 15 and had a 24-2 margin in points off of turnovers.
