County Jail

Three people were booked into the Putnam County Jail on Tuesday.

* At 9:25 a.m. Anthony Wayne Boyden Jr., 30, Indianapolis, was arrested for nonsupport of a dependent.

* At 12:45 p.m. Darrin Anthony Lynch, 50, Greencastle, was charged with theft and two counts of probation violation.

* At 3:03 p.m. Nikki Renee Pemberton, 29, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for probation violation.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Anthony Leonard, 19, Greencastle, was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for theft.

Arrested by Officer Kyle Lee in the parking lot of the Putnam Inn on North Jackson Street, Leonard was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

* At 8:28 p.m. Wednesday, Frank Roche, 24, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Lee for possession of a syringe as well as on a Marion County warrant.

Lodged in the Putnam County Jail, Roche was taken into custody at a Fillmore residence.

* At 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jessica Carter, 24, Spencer, was arrested at a Castlebury Apartments residence on an Owen County warrant for driving with a suspended license, operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated while endangering a passenger younger than 18 years old.

Taken into custody by Sgt. Charles Inman, she was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Sheriff's Department

At 1:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Billy G. Brooks, 80, Plainfield, was westbound on County Road 600 North in a 2003 GMC Safari. Jeffrey L. Clark, 57, Coatesville, was aslo westbound in a 2014 Dodge Ram.

Both vehicles had stopped at the intersection of County Road 725 East.

Brooks told Capt. Tom Helmer he started to enter the intersection but he saw a southbound vehicle on 725 East preparing to turn left onto 600 North. Brooks said he stopped and backed up, failing to notice Clark's truck.

Clark said he was stopped behind Brooks and saw him start into the intersection before backing up into Clark's front bumper.

Brooks' van had no apparent damage, but Clark's front bumper area was damaged.

No injuries were reported. Damage was estimated at $1,001-$2,500.
