The South Putnam eighth boys' basketball team finished its season with flair by winning the South Putnam Shootout Sunday despite being seeded low after Saturday's play.

Led by assistant coach Johnny Briones, the Eagle boys beat North Vermillion and stunned Lafayette Jefferson, a team that beat South Putnam decisively the day before.

Tecumseh fell to the Eagles in the Championship game by a final score of 46-31.
