Flora F. Roe

Flora F. Roe, 77, of Greencastle, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at IU Methodist Hospital.

She was born Aug. 30, 1937 to Homer G. and Vivian Phillips Newhouse at Indianapolis.

A farm girl, Flora was raised on her parents' dairy farm and she and her husband raised chinchillas and emus.

She graduated from Ladoga High School.

On May 28, 1966 she married Dorman R. Roe at Greencastle, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2008.

Flora and her husband also had a upholstery and refinishing shop.

Flora retired from the Danville Dollar General Store in 2009.

Flora loved her family and her Lord. She loved her dog Molly and all her friends at the Asbury Community in Greencastle.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald L. (Teena) Roe of Washington, Ind., and Mark (DeLama) Roe of Rainsville, N.M.; one daughter, Vickie (Bill) App of Greencastle; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dale (Marilyn) Newhouse of Florida and several nieces and nephews.

Flora was preceded in death by an infant sister, her husband and parents.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 22 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and also one hour prior to services on Sunday.

Pastor Tony Roe will officiate and burial will be at Ladoga Cemetery.
