Registration is open for April computer classes at PCPL

Friday, March 20, 2015

Putnam County Public Library will be offering three computer classes in April.

The computer classes being offered are lecture classes instead of our usual hands-on classes and are designed to introduce patrons to the Internet.

On Thursday, April 2, Introduction to the Internet will introduce patrons to search engines, browsers and some of the best websites on the Internet.

On Thursday, April 9, Safety and Security on the Internet class will discuss safeguarding your privacy and keeping your computer and information secure while using the Internet.

On Thursday, April 16, Introduction to Social Networking will introduce patrons to a variety of websites devoted to socializing with others online and ways to protect privacy while enjoying an online social life.

All classes are for beginners and are free and open to the public but registration is required since space is limited. Classes are two hours long with a break.

April classes will be Internet Basics classes and registration is now open for April computer classes.

For a schedule of upcoming classes, persons can view the library website at pcpl21.org, call Mike at 653-2755 Ext. 118, or stop by the circulation or reference desks at the library, 103 E. Poplar St., Greencastle.
