County Jail

Two people were booked into the Putnam County Jail recently.

* At 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Joshua Lee Doane, 32, Poland, was arrested for battery with bodily injury.

* At 3:13 a.m. Friday, Misty Dawn Moore, 32, Russellville, was charged with intimidation and disorderly conduct disturbing the peace.

City Police

One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City Police officers.

* At 10:56 p.m. Thursday, Larry Cliburn, 41, Greencastle, was arrested on a Putnam County warrant for collecting ginseng during a closed season.

Cliburn was lodged in the Putnam County Jail after being arrested by Capt. Chris Jones at a Sycamore Street residence in the city's South End.

Fire Department

The Greencastle Fire Department has responded to several dispatches recently.

* At 11:34 p.m. Thursday, GFD responded to 3-D Tire and Services at 209 N. Jackson St. to assist with clean up from a gas spill.

* At 4:58 p.m. Friday, GFD was called to 600 Jackson St. to assist the Greencastle Police Department with a ladder.

* At 10:17 p.m., GFD responded to Deer Field Court near Fawn View Lane to assist with a motor vehicle accident. They removed hazards from the road.
