Beech Grove UMC

Beech Grove United Methodist Church will host special services on Palm Sunday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

The church will host guest speaker Emily Barlow at 11 a.m. on Palm Sunday, March 29. Barlow does mission work with junior high and high school students in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

She will share the educational progress being made. A pitch-in dinner will follow.

On Good Friday, April 3, Pastor Frank Brasel will deliver a message at 7 p.m.

Finally, the Beech Grove congregation extends a special invitation to the community for Easter Sunday Services on April 5.

Worship will begin at 8 a.m. with a message from Pastor Brasel. A pitch-in breakfast will follow.

Beech Grove United Methodist is located at 8825 W. CR 350 North, Greencastle. The church is near the Putnam-Parke county line, three miles south of U.S. 36.

Egg hunt at Putnamville UMC

Putnamville United Methodist Chruch will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 4.

Age groups will be preschool, kindergarten through second grade and third through sixth grade. There will be prizes for all age groups.

Older youth and adults who wish to hide eggs should be at the church at

9:30 a.m.

The historic brick chruch is located on U.S. 40 in downtown Putnamville.

Everyone is welcome.

First Baptist Church

First Baptist Church, 404 Judson Dr., Greencastle, will host several services leading up to and on Easter.

On Maundy Thursday, April 2, First Baptist will have a candlelight communion service in the sanctuary from 7-8 p.m.

On Good Friday, April 3, the church youth will lead a service in the sanctuary from 6-8 p.m. called "Journey to the Cross."

Easter morning, Sunday, April 5, will kick off with an 8:15 a.m. sunrise service in the sanctuary. Following that service, at 8:45 a.m., a sunrise breakfast will be served in fellowship hall.

The Easter celebration service will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary.

Wellspring Christian Church

Wellspring Christian Church located on U.S. 40 and Belle Union Road, will host Easter celebrations beginning on Good Friday. The Friday, April 3 service begins at 7 p.m.

A sunrise service is planned for 7 a.m. on Sunday, April 5, followed by a pitch-in breakfast. Sunday school will begin at normal time at

9 a.m. and regular worship service at

10 a.m.

Pastor Steve Blaydes Jr. will be officiating all services. The public is invited to attend.
