Greencastle loses baseball opener

Thursday, April 2, 2015

CRAWFORDSVILLE -- The Greencastle High School baseball team took on Crawfordsville on Monday. However Crawfordsville defended its home field well and dealt the Tiger Cubs a 7-0 loss.

Crawfordsville did the most damage in the third inning scoring four after just one in the first. The score doesn't tell the whole story as Greencastle only recored three errors, the same as the Athenians. While Crawfodsville had seven hits, GHS had six of its own with its senior Tanner going three-of-four with each a single, double and triple.

GHS' next game will be at home Monday against county rival North Putnam. This will be the first of a two-day doubleheader.
