County Jail

One person was lodged in the Putnam County Jail Thursday.

* At 1:30 p.m., Taylor Jeanne Burk, 20, Greencastle, was charged with a petition to revoke probation in a case originally involving battery resulting in bodily injury.

City Police

A traffic stop on Indianapolis Road Thursday night turned into a warrant arrest for Greencastle City Police.

* At 9:46 p.m., Corey A. Bunten, 27, Greencastle, was pulled over by Officer Kyle Lee, who discovered an outstanding Putnam County warrant for Bunten.

Bunten was arrested and lodged in the Putnam County Jail on a warrant for failure to appear in court.

He was also cited for driving with a suspended license.

Four additional citations were written recently by city officers.

* At 9:37 p.m. Thursday, Travis Harris, 25, Sumiton, Ala., was ticketed by Officer Lee.

Stopped on Indianapolis Road, Harris was cited for having an expired license plate.

* At 8:15 p.m. Thursday, Hunter Winslow, 21, Greencastle, was ticketed for speeding.

Stopped by Officer Eric Vaughan on Indianapolis Road, Winslow was cited for 54 mph in a 30-mph zone.

* At 8:31 p.m. Wednesday, Christopher Pringle, 28, Clayton, received two citations from Officer Lee.

Stopped at Bloomington and Main streets, Pringle was ticketed for an expired license plate and for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department assisted with one medical run and one other dispatch recently.

* At 7:28 a.m, Friday, April 10, the GFD was dispatched to investigate a fire alarm at 208 E. Olive St. No issue was found and the alarm was reset.
