25th annual Chamber Golf Scramble set for May 8
The 25th annual Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce Golf Scramble and 19th Hole Business After Hours are scheduled for Friday, May 8 at Clover Meadows Golf Course in Cloverdale.
Registration and lunch (sponsored by Comcast Business Class) will begin at 10:30 a.m., while the scramble tees off at noon.
Each team must include four players with registration at $55 per player or $220 per team. Registration fee includes golf, cart, lunch, snacks, drinks and a gift bag.
Cash prizes and trophies (sponsored by Taylor Made Awards and Promotions) will be awarded to first-, second- and third-place teams and both men's and women's longest drives, and closest to the pin will receive trophies and prizes.
Other sponsors of the annual event are $10,000 hole-in-one sponsors North Salem State Bank and HMSB Insurance, beverage sponsors Dever Distributing, Bittles and Hurt/Hopkins-Rector funeral homes and Starbucks, free afternoon snack sponsor Ivy Tech Community College, gift bag sponsor Therese Cunningham State Farm Insurance and the 19th Hole Business After Hours sponsors First National Bank and York Automotive.
Even those who don't golf can still support the event with a hole sponsorship ($50 if there is already have a sign for your business or $100 if a sign needs to be made), scoreboard sponsorship ($100), or a skilled hole sponsorship ($35 each).

Persons can also purchase golf balls for the annual Golf Ball Drop, which will again feature hundreds of purchased balls being dropped from a helicopter. Cost is two for $5 or five for $10. Golfball drop participants need not play in the scramble nor be required to be in attendance at the ball drop to win.
