Girton - 60th Anniversary

Bob and Peggy Girton of Reelsville will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Friday, April 24.

They were married on April 24, 1955, in Washington, Ind., by the Rev. Willie Cox.

Bob worked for Girton Implement and farmed and owned Girton's Book Shop in Greencastle. Peggy worked at Cloverdale Community Schools as an elementary teacher.

They have three children, Mark Girton of Reelsville, Marcy Girton of College Station, Texas, and Maria and Gary Huffman of Brazil. They have four grandchildren, Jenae (Devon) Chamberlain, Kaley (Billy) Pettiford and Jacob (Cicily) Girton.

There will be an open house from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 3 in the foyer of the First Christian Church, 1875 U.S. 40, Brazil. No gifts please.
