CLOVERDALE--The Cloverdale girls' and boys' track teams hosted a three-way meet with Lighthouse Christian Academy and North Central Farmersburg on Tuesday. Both Clover teams won with the boys winning with 75 points over Farmersburg's 61 and Lighthouse's 31. The girls won with 80 points over Farmersburg's 34 points and Lighthouse's 15.

"I'm really happy with the effort," Clover coach Andy Tyler said. "We're going out competing and running hard. We got some PRs tonight. That's what we're always looking for."

The Cloverdale coaches were happy with the way their team performed and one coach talked heavily about Tori Szaley. She finished second in both the 1600M and the 800M.

"This has been the first time that Tori Szaley has had to have lot of competition," assistant Clover coach Claire Graham said. "She hung in there. She didn't do as well as she hoped, but I was pleased with her performance."

Sam Atwood won the pole vaulting completion over teammate Riley Canfield, but in doing so she also set a new school record of eight feet.

"Sam Atwood broke the pole vault record," Tyler said. "That's impressive. It's exciting for us."

The Cloverdale staff was happy to get a win Tuesday and they hope that they will build off of it. Their next meet is April 30 in a three-way at Cascade with Tri-West. The meet starts at 4:30.

"Picking up a win is nice," Tyler said. "That's a confidence booster."
