Local scholarship fund real winner at realtor bingo

Thursday, April 30, 2015

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank everyone that attended our Bingo Event on Saturday, April 11.

With so many fun events all going on that evening (Putting on the Hits, Dancing with the Stars, Endeavor Communication banquet) we were thrilled to have over 150 players in attendance, and we were able to give away bingo prizes of over $1,500.

The Putnam County Board of Realtor Scholarship Fund, which will benefit from the proceeds of this event, was the biggest winner of the night. Next month we will be awarding $2,000 in scholarships to four Putnam County high school seniors. These scholarship awards (four - $500) are made possible through our endowment with the Putnam County Community Foundation.

I would especially like to thank all that helped to sponsor this year's event: Abstract and Title, American Realty, LLC, At Home Realty LLC, Jana Brothers, Burk Home Inspections, Coldwell Banker Putnam Real Estate Center, Collins Evans Real Estate, Crystal Clear Home Inspections, Cyclone Custom Graphics, Daniel Builder, Down Home Real Estate & Auction, Endeavor Communication, Farm Credit of Mid America, First National Bank, Masten Real Estate Holdings, Putnam LP, Ruoff Home Mortgage and F.C. Tucker Schneider Realty.

This event would not be possible without those that helped setup tables, chairs and equipment before and after the event, plus those that volunteered during the event.

Thank you to all our volunteers -- Teresa Adams, Tiffany Cox, Tyler Cox, Traci Dobson, Wanda Elkins, Max Fislar, Rita Goss, Angie Long, Paul Nauman, Tina Nicholson, Mary Ann Pearson, George Schneider, Suzy Schneider, Chris Skillern, Michelle Skillern, Derek Ummel, Jason Ummel and Cecil VanArsdale.

We also appreciate those members that came out to play, and everyone that stayed after the event to help us clean up.

Any Putnam County high school senior that wishes to apply for a scholarship should contact the Putnam County Community Foundation before the next scholarship application cycle.

Thank you for making our scholarships to Putnam County high school seniors possible.

Sincerely,

Diane Ummel,

Executive Officer Putnam
