As the spring semester wraps up, the DePauw University School of Music has two final events scheduled next week --- both programs are free and open to the public.

First up is a Junior Degree Recital by Dana Hart, mezzo--soprano, scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 5 in Thompson Recital Hall at the Green Center for Performing Arts.

Before heading to Salzburg, Austria, this summer to sing the role of Cherubino in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro," Hart will give her junior recital at DePauw.

Hart has also been invited to perform the title role of Hansel in a production of "Hansel and Gretel" by the American Singers Opera Project.

Her recital is presented in partial fulfillment for the Bachelor of Music degree.

The final scheduled music program of the school year is the Student Recital Hour: Music Awards Convocation set to begin at 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, May 6 at the Green Center.

The final Recital Hour of the semester is dedicated to the music school's annual awards convocation, including recognition and performances by this year's talented award recipients.
