Emergency personnel investigating possible gas leak near Greencastle

A single-vehicle accident caused a natural gas leak across from Putnam County Hospital Wednesday at 1:10 p.m.
A vehicle ran off the side of the road, struck a gas line and went into the ravine.
Operation Life assisted with the single injury at the scene.
All lanes of traffic are now open.

Emergency personnel have reduced traffic to single-lane travel on U.S. 231 in front of Putnam County Hospital.
According to scanner traffic, around 1 p.m. there were reports of a possible natural gas leak at the residence across from the hospital.
Greencastle Fire Department, Greencastle Police Department and Indiana State Police were on scene.
