Retirement reception for Officer Epple June 5 at City Hall

The Greencastle Police Department would like to invite the citizens of Greencastle and Putnam County to a retirement reception for Officer Albert Epple on Friday, June 5.

The 2-4 p.m. reception is scheduled for City Hall, 1 N. Locust St., Greencastle.

"Officer Epple has spent the last 24 years of his life protecting and serving the City of Greencastle," City Police Chief Tom Sutherlin praised. "Please come out and thank Officer Epple for his service, along with wishing him good luck in his next adventure in life. "

Refreshments will be served from 2-4 p.m.

Epple becomes the third of three longtime GPD officer retiring in recent months, following in the footsteps of Capt. Mike Hanlon and Sgt. Terry Eastham.
