Friday, May 29, 2015

Christfest, a community concert, will return for its second year on July 11 at Kresge Auditorium in DePauw University's Green Center.

The event will be a night full of music, fellowship and fun.

There are four performers for the evening: Jonathan Thulin, 1 Girl Nation, Mark 209 and Greencastle's own Bobbie Lancaster. These accomplished artists, some of whom can be heard on Christian radio stations, have a wide range of musical styles such as bluegrass, gospel, rock, pop and worship.

"We saw an opportunity to provide quality entertainment for Putnam County and surrounding counties," coordinator Di Carter said. "Our prayer for Christfest is that people will be changed, restored, and challenged to serve the Lord and to make a difference in this world."

Christfest organizers are expecting an audience of 1,000 - 1,400 in their second year.

General admission tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for children under age 12, and $5 for those under five. Tickets will be available to purchase at the door. They can also be ordered online at www.christfestpc.com.

Doors open at 3 p.m. Concert starts at 4 p.m.
